BOHEMIA Behältertechnik is a company producing waste containers for the construction and waste recycling industry. The company is a familiy owned business, which has been founded 20 years ago. Our production site is in Czech Republic and we’re selling most of our products to german clients.

kunstfreunde089 is an art initiative in Munich which I’m running with my friend Dr. Andreas Schmalbruch. It’s like an art club for contemporary art and we’re holding art events every couple of weeks.

Rotaract

Rotaract is a program by Rotary International for people between 18 and 32 years. You can find Rotaract clubs all around the world and in Germany more than 170 Rotaract Clubs exist. There are not ideological, religious or other boundaries and all joung people are invited to visit the Club.

I’m a member and past president of Rotaract Club of Cologne.

The club life of Rotaract clubs consists of 3 pillars:

1) Social and community service: Every Rotaract club executes projects for the community. These projects may be local or international. They may be fund raising projects or hands-on projects.

2) Learning: Every club invites speakers on a regular basis. With that members get to hear speeches by leading characters on various topics. Members are also asked to take over responsibility on projects or as members of the club board.

3) Enjoyment: Partying, having a good time and making friends is of course important, too.

Rotaract Travel Weeks

In oct 2009 I started a new initiative which already spreaded all over the world. Today more than 3000 Rotaractors got involved and joined the respective Facebook groups.

The idea: Rotaractors can use the platform Rotaract Travel Weeks to connect to other Rotaractors worldwide when travelling. They may stay at a Rotaractor’s house and benefit from their local knowledge. On the other hand Rotaractors can accomodate Rotaractors at their house and make friends internationally.

“Kölsch” is the local beer of Cologne, my home town. In 2009 I created the website www.koelschkarte.de where you can find sales points of Kölsch worldwide.

Today more than 180 bars have been submitted by users and the number is growing. However this is just a fun project.

Carnival in Cologne

Millions of people come to my home town Cologne every year to participate in the ‘Karneval’ celebrations.

I’m an active member of two carnival societies.

Große Kölner Karnevalsgesellschaft 1882
For more that 10 years I’m a member of this carnival society. As a senator I’m responsible for the website.

For about 6 years I’m a member of the Prinzengarde Köln. This society has the special duty to accompany the “Prinz Karneval”.

Pass Masters 2011

This is actually nothing what I organize but it’s just brilliant. My friends Philipp and Stevie organized this “gum ball style” event in 2010 for the first time and it was a blast. I had the chance to be Philipp´s co-driver on his 993 Porsche.

In 2011 we did it again and it was just as good as the year before.

Participating cars involved: Lamborghini Diabolo, Gallardo, Bugatti EB110, many Porsches, BMW M3 CSL, Bentley Continental SC and 30 more cars.
